We are excited to analyze what designer showcased during Paris fashion week summer and spring 2023. This season we expect to see more neutral toned colors, different textiles, and old trends coming back in full swing.
Leather, Denim, and Nylon, Oh My!
This spring we will see a mix of different textures and textiles.
Utility and Nylons
Within the last few months we've seen an increase of utility type of clothing such as jackets and pants made out of nylon, as well as cargo pants, shorts, and skirts. Some brands that we have recently seen this in are Prada, Louis Vuitton , and Loewe. The functionality of utility clothing is higher with the use of zippers and pockets. We've seen an increase of utility clothing among younger generations and has navigate itself to more of a street style. The trend originally pushed towards Menswear now has drastically included both women and mens lines.

Leather
Leather trench coats, and skirts continue to show up during Paris fashion week. The brands that we are seeing continue to use this are Louis Vuitton, Hermès, and Lanvin. They are continuing to use neutral colors such as gray, black, dark green, and brown with some pops of the color orange. Throughout these pieces we are seeing a little bit more texture to them rather than just the regular leather.

Denim
This classic American textile has always been in, but this past Paris fashion week we've been seeing brands such as Burberry, Givenchy, and Stefan Cooke give it a different meaning. We're not necessarily talking about the regular wash of denim we've seen in the past couple of decades. We are seeing things such as over texturing, high contrast washes, different color tints such as yellow and green, dirtier washes, etc. We are also seeing different styles come in such as high cut shorts (higher than we've seen in a while), all the way to floor length skirts. Post-pandemic years have brought out '90's and 2000's style width and cut of jeans. Denim has also fused with the utility style we talked about before with extra pockets, zippers, and other embellishments.

Laid back luxury
We're seeing less logos, and more simple home-styles this season. Kicking it off with Kate Moss walking in denim jeans and flannel top for Bottega Veneta. Post-

pandemic has brought more comfortability to fashion. This is also caused more upscaled athleisure and sportswear to become more prevalent in luxury brands such as Chanel SS'23.
Another brand that is coming full swing into home styles category is Ralph Lauren. The brand has always been deep into its plaid patterns. With the help of cabin and ski core becoming popular this winter, we will continue to see it prosper throughout the next few years.

Work Wear
Over the past few months we have seen work wear venture outside of the corporate world and on to the streets. Large oversized blazers have been paired sneakers to take the formality down a notch. Dress slacks are being warn with simple white t-shirts or sweaters. Some brands are taking it as far to try to my these "work looks" easier to wear in the spring a summer. Take Miu Miu for example, putting the short in short skirt and pairing them with either a cropped or oversized blazer. Plain white and blue button ups continue to be worn and layered with sweaters and blazers.

Accessories
Bags
Lately bag styles have been shying away from the small shoulder bags and moving towards larger
purses and totes. All types of textiles are being used such as leather, suede, and nylon. We are seeing
earthy tones like green, red, brown, and tan. Crossbody purses and belt bags are continued to be used.
Flats
Whether you like it or not flats are coming back. Silk or Leather with bows, we are here for them. When they are properly styled, these shoes can make a chic statement. Playing with different colors is a great way to shake things up.
Silver Jewelry
The past few years bold gold jewelry has heavily been seen throughout the fashion world. These next few seasons we expect to see smaller silver pieces. Such as small silver hoops, watches, and chained necklaces.
Overall this season we're excited to see some fun bold statement pieces along with more traditional neutral toned colors make their way back to the forefront of fashion. Cheers to spring and summer 2023.
