Don't have a Valentine's this year? Thats more than okay. Just grad some friends and have your own little get together.

Galentine's Day has become one of my favorite things to do with my friends the last few years. Friends groups of all sorts will get together to throw a party, dinner, etc. Galentine's Day has started to take the stigma of being single around Valentine's Day away. Instead of spending your time being sad about being single, get your friends together and have a fin time together.
Valentine's Day has always been the day of love. People usually celebrate with their significant others (if they have one). I have always thought about how we love more people than just our significant others. Think back to Elementary school, when you get creative with your Valentine's day box and then bring your class each personalized candy. But as you get older Valentine's Day seems to only be celebrated with significant others? Why can't we celebrate all the people that we love? This is a why I love the up and coming movement of Galentine's Day.
The amazing thing about Galentine's day is that it is just like a date. You and your friends can choose to do anything. Go to a movie, have a dinner party, bake, cook, etc. Think of everything and anything. You can make a whole day out of it or a quick afternoon. Galentine's Day is not nessaliry on Valentine's Day. Especially if you have friends who have plans on Valentine's day with their significant others, it is still nice to include them in your festivities. Dress up or Dress down. Have some fun with it. Sometimes it is fun to get in pink sparkly dresses, or to get into comfy heart printed pajamas.
Whatever you may be doing around Valentine's Day. For the holiday of love, remember to spread a little. Check in on your friends and family. Remind them that you love them and are always there for them. Most importantly love yourself. Use this holiday as a self care moment. Happy Galentine's Day.
